CushCore is the industry-leading MTB tyre insert, providing damping, stability, traction, and impact protection.
The CushCore XC is a light weight version designed for cross-country racing, light trail riding, and/or less aggressive riders. It provides tyre stability, improved ride feel, and a degree of rim protection, allowing you to run lower pressures on lighter tyres.
Who’s this item for: XC, Trail, Gravel Riders, and Enduro riders looking for a lightweight insert for tyre stability.
CushCore Pro:
Materials: Cushcore is made from a specifically designed and formulated closed-cell foam.
Inner Tyre Suspension System: A standard tubeless tyre acts like a spring, with no damper, resulting in fast, uncontrolled rebound. The Cushcore foam insert mounts inside a mountain bike tyre and divides the inner volume of the tyre in half. The air is underneath the tread patch and the CushCore insert is next to the rim. Together they work as a spring and damper, as well as the CushCore acting as a volume spacer for your tyres air volume.
Tyre Stability: CushCore is the only insert on the market that is a tight fit to the rim, providing incredible sidewall support. This allows you to run much lower tyre pressures without the tyre squirming.
Impact Protection: As well as the suspension and stability benefits, CushCore provides impact protection for your rim. By distributing the impact forces over a larger area, and limiting how far sharp objects can protrude into the tyre, CushCore helps to reduce flat tyres.
Durability: Cushcore inserts are extremely durable. One of the early tests to determine how well the foam would ‘rebound’ back into shape was to repeatedly strike it with a hammer on a concrete floor. The foam is engineered to repeatedly withstand poundings without degradation. A set typically lasts a few years, although the service life depends on riding frequency, terrain, tyre pressure, and other factors.
